Where we are now

We have had an interesting ride since Liam graduated in May.  Things definitely did not turn out how we had planned them too, but looking back we can see that Heavenly Father has blessed us with so many things.  We did not expect to be unemployed for seven months or to spend all of that time living in my parents basement, but we have come to believe that through that forced time of unemployment Liam was able to have enough time to study hard for the bar.  Which we feel is why he passed.  After many months of praying, fasting, and a few disappointments as far as jobs go Liam was finally offered a job in Sandy working for the state.  This happened about three weeks before Owen was born so we quickly started looking for somewhere to live.  We found a town home in Lehi very quickly, and everything seemed to fall into place for us so that we were moving things in about a week before Owen was born.  We couldn't physically move in until after Owen was born so Liam and my family used that time to unpack some things and try and get things as ready as possible for our family to move in.  We moved into our town home 1 week after my c-section.  Liam started his job the second week in January.  As all of this was happening I wondered why it all had to happen while I was either extremely pregnant or trying to recover from having a c-section and having a new born.  It ended up being a blessing to have Liam around for so long after having the baby.  He was able to care for Ella and to get our home ready for us to move in.  It has been exactly 1 month today since we have had Owen and I can truly see that Heavenly Father has blessed us in unforeseen ways and that his plan really was a blessing that I could not see at the time.  I am grateful for our family, especially my parents, for taking care of us during this time in our lives when we really needed help.

Owen

Owen Liam Keogh was born December 23, 2014 at 7:47 a.m.  He was 8 lbs 13 oz and 19 inches long.  He is sure cute and we like having him around.  Ella loves to give Owen hugs and kisses and seems to enjoy being a big sister.

Christmas

We were able to celebrate Christmas with Ella on the Sunday before Christmas.  We knew that we would be in the hospital for Christmas so I wanted to celebrate early with her.   Ella really enjoyed opening presents even if she didn’t know why she was getting them.

Summer

We had a really fun summer that I of course did not blog about.  These are the highlights.

-We found out that we were having a baby boy!
-Liam spent all of his time studying for the bar and looking for a job.
-We enjoyed going to a fair.

 - We enjoyed going to the Ogden temple open house.
-Ella turned two which also happened to be our 6th Anniversary.  To celebrate we took Ella to an aquarium.

-We found out that Liam passed the bar!

Uncle Tyler

Uncle Tyler left the first week of July to go on his mission.  He is in the Chile Santiago North Mission.  We really miss him but we know that he is doing the Lord's work.  He is already doing great on his mission!

The Detroit Zoo

One of the last fun things we did before we moved was go to the Detroit Zoo with our friends Stephanie and Shad.  We had a fun day.  I think Ella and Shad had the most fun when they were chasing each other and playing with sticks.  They also liked looking at the seals.  True to Ella form, we couldn't really get her to look when we were taking a picture.  The kangaroos were my favorite part.  We actually got to walk into the cage with them.  We had to stay on the trail but there was no fence in between us and them.  It was pretty neat.

Graduation

Liam graduated from Michigan State College of Law in May.  Instead of going to graduation we enjoyed a fun day going to parks, the mall, and eating at Five Guys!  Many people were surprised at Liam's choice to not go to graduation, but anyone who knows Liam well will realize that is not his thing.  We did enjoy the day spent together.  Liam's three years of law school went really fast and we enjoyed living in Michigan and especially the people we met.

We couldn't get Ella to cooperate for any of our family pictures.
