Detroit Auto Show
On Monday we were able to go to the Detroit Auto show with the Smedley's. There were tons of cars and it was jam packed with people. My dad, mom, and brothers would have really loved it. Baby Ella and Baby Shad did really well considering how much noise and lights there were. We had lots of fun, but we were all exhausted by the time we got home!

Ella is 5 months old!
Today Ella is five months old. We started the day of celebration with a giant poop explosion. Seriously, there was poop from Ella's neck down to her feet. I think Liam almost had a heart attack. It's a good thing Ella is really cute. Anyways Ella is getting so big. She has learned a lot of new things this last month.
One of her most favorite things to do is roll over. I can't keep Ella on her back for more than a few seconds. It makes getting Ella dressed and changing her diapers pretty hard sometimes.
Ella loves to jump in her jumper now. Thank you Tara for making it! She will spend enough time in the jumper each day for me to exercise and make dinner. We both love it. This video was taken at Grandma and Grandpa's on Christmas.
Ella has also started to learn to nap. She has always struggled with staying down for a nap for longer than twenty minutes. In the last month she has started taking a least one long nap (about 2 hours) a day. It has started to make my life a little easier.
Ella has also decided within the last week that she no longer wants to be swaddled. That's right, Ella's taquito days are over. So the last few nights of sleep have been hit and miss at our house. Hopefully she gets used to being unswaddled soon because I am missing my long (long is relative) nights of sleep.

Christmas
We had a lot of fun visiting family over Christmas. We were very busy, but enjoyed all we got to do with family and friends. Ella did really with being around so many people. It did not take her very long to warm up to everyone. She definitely enjoyed all of the attention. Here are some pictures of a few of the people we saw and things we did.
Christmas Day at my parents. Ella loves wrapping paper.
Just hanging out in Grandpa's chair later that day.
The Keogh family Christmas/New Year's Eve party. Here is Liam with his brother Abel.
Popeye brought mustaches for all the grand kids to wear. It was so funny!
I think this picture clearly describes how Ella felt about wearing a mustache.
Nana and Ella matched.

Ella's first Christmas
We had a small Christmas celebration at our house last night. We weren't going to bring the three presents I had wrapped under the tree to Utah with us so we decided to open them last night. Ella really enjoyed holding the presents because they made a fun crinkling sound. She also liked eating the presents.

Ella is 4 months old!
Time is flying by and Ella is getting so big! Big enough in fact, that she is now wearing 9 month clothes. I swear she gets bigger in just one night. Liam and I are both enjoying how much she interacts with us.
Yesterday Ella ate rice cereal for the first time and she absolutely loved it! It didn't surprise us too much because she is a bit of a piggy. She didn't even make a weird face when I put the food in her mouth; she just started sucking it down. It was pretty funny when I fed her today; she started crying in between bites because I wasn't feeding her fast enough. We got a video of Ella's first feeding. Of course it is not the best because my camera man ( Liam) decided that he would record my hand rather than the baby's face. He also decided to let me know that I was feeding her wrong (Like he has every fed a baby before. I love you Liam:) ). Anyways, here is the beautiful video.
The after picture.
A cute picture of Ella in her jumper. She still doesn't jump, but she does enjoy standing and spinning around.
I put Ella in this coat yesterday. It is way to big for her, but I wanted to keep her warm while I was out walking around yesterday morning. You can see by her face how she felt about it.
